Toadsgoboad is Lance Ash
“Toadsgoboad is a procurementist artist. Toadsgoboad is Lance Ash”. Lance Ash is a local painter who goes by the name of Toadsgobaod. The show contains 32 acrylic on canvas paintings of mainly figurative based illustrative art. The each of the paintings depicts a grouping of figures and symbolic objects through which story narratives are created. The figures are painted in an almost illustrative abstract manner where you are forced to look at the exaggerated shape and expressions of them to determine their mood. The group of works are truly cohesive and united in their repetition of forms, colors, and gestures. |
