I just left Frameworks with a framed poster from my daughter's play. I was equally as pleased with it as I was with the one I had done there a few months ago. The poster looks great, and the salesperson was pleasant and helpful.
I certainly felt better about these posters than I did with the first one I took to Michael's. Armed with a coupon and the assumption that I would get a better price from a large chain, I was confident that this would be an easy and inexpensive project.
First, the salesperson was not helpful at all. Being inexperienced in framing, I wanted some guidance as to frame type, color and matting choices. I got very little. Then came the sticker shock. My coupon was only good for a "portion" of the framing. I left with a simple metal frame, glass and no matting for just under $100. I instantly had buyer's remorse, but the damage had been done.
Having a hard time believing framing a simple poster would be that expensive, I called Frameworks to compare prices. I learned that I could have had my poster framed for half of what I had just paid. Talk about feeling taken. I will never make the assumption "bigger means cheaper" again. Thank goodness I called Frameworks.
